What is a Monitored Event?

Here we will discuss monitored events. We use events for short.
An event is an audited Microsoft activity that may come from several sources in Office 365 such as:
- Office 365 Unified Audit Log
- Azure Active Directory Logs
- Mailbox Audit Logs
- Other
In Office365 they are commonly referred to as logs.
What about Alerts?
Octiga has the concepts alerts. They are a related, but different, concept to events. Briefly, an alert is where a security admin is notified of a monitored event, baselines deviation or other risk detection either through the User Interface or via a notification such as an email.
