Understanding Alerts

What is an alert

Octiga has the concepts alerts.  They are a related, but different, concept to events.  Briefly, an alert is where a security admin is notified of a monitored event, baselines deviation or other risk detection either through the User Interface or via a notification such as an email.  
Alert NotificationsAlerts are notified to user through one or both of the following mechanisms

• An email

• A line item on the Alerts Screen.

• Ticket in PSA Integrations

Alert Levels

Alerts consist of 3 of the 4 criticality levels of events (critical, danger, warning).  The 4th event risk level is info which is never alerted
