Mail Auto Forwarding

Mail auto-forwarding is a blunt instrument for auto-forwarding all or certain mail to another mailbox. Attackers or malactors can use it and breach compliance if the auto-forwarding is to an external domain. This can be done in several ways:

  1. Through a transport rule

  2. Through the "auto-forwarding (all mail)" option in Outlook WebAccess (OWA)

  3. Through a specific Outlook mail rule

Enable or disable Auto Forwarding to external domains by default for the entire organisation.

NB: There are multiple ways to achieve this under the hood. Presently Octiga achieves this with the PowerShell command SetRemoteDomain command.
